HYUNDAI - MARINE DIESEL ENGINES
Marine diesel engines are manufactured at the INCHEON plant in South Korea, located near the capital city of Seoul. The engines are based on a product line from the German vehicle and engine manufacturer MAN. Through a licensing agreement, Hyundai has further developed MAN engines to fully meet modern requirements. The engine range includes six-cylinder inline engines with displacements of 5.8, 8.1, and 11.1 liters. Hyundai marine diesels are also available as V-engines with displacements of 14.6, 18.3, and 21.9 liters. The most powerful V-engine delivers up to 1,200 horsepower.
Hyundai’s lightweight and compact engines are based on a licensing collaboration with Japanese manufacturer ISUZU; however, these are not currently available as marine diesel engines.
The engines are available with ready-to-use IMO MARPOL 3 packages, including instrument panels and wiring harnesses.
Tapimer Oy can also supply similar diesel engines as industrial power units, known as "power package" models, which come equipped with a radiator.
HD Hyundai Infracore is dropping the Doosan name, strengthening its position as a member of HD Hyundai a year and a half after the acquisition.
